Mawsynram: India's Monsoon Capital in Meghalaya

Mawsynram is a small village in Meghalaya, India, known as the Monsoon Capital of India.

It receives the highest average annual rainfall in the world because of its location in the East Khasi Hills.

The best time to visit Mawsynram is between June and September when the rainfall is at its peak.
