BRICS Backs India’s Sports Manufacturing and Technology Proposals
BRICS countries supported two ideas suggested by India about sports.
One idea is to hold a meeting about making sports goods.
This meeting is planned for Udaipur in November.
It would allow companies, investors, researchers and new businesses to share ideas.
The second idea is to create a group focused on sports technology.
That group could study how technology helps athletes perform better and stay healthy.
It could also discuss artificial intelligence, digital tools and better sports governance.
The countries said sports can help people cooperate and build healthier communities.
The BRICS New Delhi declaration backed India’s proposals for a Sports Goods Manufacturing Conclave and a Working Group on Sports Technology.
The proposed conclave is planned for Udaipur, Rajasthan, in November and will focus on technology, innovation and industry cooperation.
The conclave is expected to bring together manufacturers, exporters, investors, technology providers, SMEs, start-ups and research institutions.
The proposed technology group would address sports science, athlete performance, governance, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and innovation.
BRICS members said sports can support social development, people-to-people exchanges and healthier, more active societies.
