Autumn Rains and Blooms Draw Tourists to Nilgiris Hills

The Nilgiris hills are attracting many tourists during the autumn season.

Rain in early September helped the hills become green and colourful.

Flowers have started blooming in public gardens.

The Government Botanical Garden is preparing nearly 25,000 flower pots.

Around three lakh plants from more than 50 varieties are blooming there.

Popular places such as Doddabetta Peak and the Boat House are busier than usual.

Tourism businesses are pleased because more visitors are arriving.

They hope the busy season will continue until the Deepavali weekend in November.
