Flipkart Approved to Move HQ Back to India
Flipkart, a big online shopping company in India, is moving its headquarters back from Singapore.
They got initial approval from a court in Singapore and are working to get all the necessary permissions.
This move is happening because Flipkart wants to sell shares to the public, also known as an IPO, as early as 2026.
The company's income is up, but it still loses money.
Bringing the company back to India might mean paying a large tax bill, similar to what another company, PhonePe, had to pay.
Flipkart is working on this change at the same time many other Indian startups are also getting ready to sell shares to the public.
Flipkart received in-principle approval from a Singapore court to move back to India.
The redomiciling process could be completed in a few months.
Flipkart is aiming for an IPO as early as 2026.
Flipkart's revenue increased, but it still reported losses in FY25.
