IndianOil Officer Killed on Duty; Minister Demands Strict Action

Mahesh Shelke worked for IndianOil and was doing his job at a petrol pump in Maharashtra.

He and his team were taking over or sealing the outlet when an argument reportedly began.

The argument became violent, and Shelke was stabbed and died at the scene.

Reports say he was stabbed seven times.

Officials have not established what caused the argument.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri condemned the attack and called for strict action.

IndianOil said it would support Shelke's family.

Police are trying to find the main accused, and an officers' association has called for better protection for workers in the field.
