Bengaluru’s MG Road to be Dug for Water, Sewage Lines
The famous MG Road in Bengaluru is going to be dug up to fix old water and sewage pipes.
This hasn't been done in almost 40 years.
The plan is to start after January.
Instead of making the road smooth and white (white-topping), they will just put new asphalt.
This is because white-topping would take too long and cause a lot of trouble for important people and businesses.
The work will happen on one side of the road, and only one of the three lanes will be dug up.
More details will come once the work starts.
MG Road in Bengaluru will be dug up to replace ageing water supply and sewage lines.
The project is expected to start after the last week of January.
White-topping of the road has been dropped in favor of asphalting to avoid disruption.
Construction will focus on one side of the road, affecting one of three lanes.
BWSSB is coordinating with the Bengaluru Traffic Police for the project.
