India Braces for Colder Winter Ahead
India is going to have a colder winter this year, especially in central, northwest, and peninsular regions.
The weather department says there will be more days of very cold weather, called cold waves, in places like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and others.
This is because of something called La Niña, which makes the ocean cooler and can bring colder winters.
Delhi and Madhya Pradesh are already feeling the cold, with temperatures dropping to very low levels.
People in these areas should be ready for colder weather in the coming months.
The weather department also says that most of India had normal or below-normal temperatures in November, except for some parts in the southeast and northeast.
There were also some weather systems that brought dry air, making it feel even colder.

4-5 extra days of cold wave conditions expected in Rajasthan, UP, MP, Haryana, Punjab, and parts of Maharashtra.
Another cold wave spell is expected from December 3-5 in northwest and central India.
Weak La Niña conditions to continue, contributing to colder-than-usual winter.
