PM Modi Hosts NDA MPs Strategy Dinner
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting a special dinner for all the MPs from his political group, the NDA.
This dinner is to help everyone work together better and plan for important things in Parliament.
They will talk about what laws they want to pass and how to prepare for upcoming state elections.
They might also discuss how the Election Commission is updating the list of voters.
The Opposition and the Government have different views on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The Opposition says it is causing problems for some people, while the Government wants to have a broader discussion on election reforms.
The Prime Minister was also felicitated at a meeting of all NDA MPs, where he was congratulated for the NDA's victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a dinner meeting for NDA MPs on December 11 to improve coordination and sharpen the ruling alliance’s strategy during the Winter Session of Parliament.
Key legislative priorities, the government’s agenda, and preparations for upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam were discussed.
The meeting reviewed the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, which has been a contentious issue.
The Opposition has alleged that the SIR is leading to disenfranchisement of marginalised communities and demanded its scrapping.
