Tunisia Extends State of Emergency

Tunisia Extends State of Emergency

Tunisia's president, Kais Saied, has decided to keep the state of emergency in place for another 11 months, until the end of this year.

This state of emergency has been going on since 2015 after a bad attack on some guards.

It means the country will keep extra security measures to stay safe.

The president thinks it's still needed to protect people.

This decision was announced in the official government newspaper.
