Tariffs, which are taxes on imports, have become unpredictable.

Jaishankar said India should not see every issue as simply black or white.

Instead, India should make its own decisions.

He said India should find different energy sources and supply routes.

He also urged Indian experts to contribute ideas based on the country’s own history and experiences.
