Supriya Shrinate faces BJP heat, FIR over old flag videos

India just celebrated its Independence Day, a special day when people honor the national flag.

A leader from the Congress party, named Supriya Shrinate, shared two videos on social media.

She said the videos showed people from the BJP party raising their own party flag instead of India's national flag.

But the BJP said those videos were not from Independence Day at all.

They said one video was from a party event in March, and the other was from an office opening in July.

So the videos were old and should not be shown as if they happened on Independence Day.

The BJP was upset and filed a police complaint, called an FIR, against Shrinate.

Minister Arjun Singh, who appeared in one of the videos, said he would also take legal action.

He said people should check their facts before sharing videos.

This story reminds us that old videos can sometimes be used to tell a story that is not true.
