Indian Banks and FMCG Sector See Growth
In the last three months of the year, most big Indian banks and FMCG companies saw good growth.
Banks did well because the government lowered taxes and people spent more during the festive season.
Smaller private banks had the biggest gains.
FMCG companies also saw more sales and better profits because of lower costs and higher demand for certain products.
Some companies like Marico, Tata Consumer, and Godrej Consumer did especially well.
However, some products like tea and milk didn't do as well.
Overall, both banks and FMCG companies are doing better now.
17 of the top 20 listed Indian banks saw market cap gains in Q3.
FMCG companies reported volume growth of 3.5% in Q3 FY26.
GST rate cut and festive season demand boosted bank performances.
Smaller private-sector banks were among the biggest gainers in the banking sector.
FMCG companies like Marico, Tata Consumer, and Godrej Consumer saw significant revenue growth.
