UK MPs Urge De-escalation Amid PoK Violence and Protest
UK lawmakers are worried about fighting in a region called Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
They say many people are hurt and some have died.
The MPs want the UK government to talk to Pakistan and stop the fighting.
They also want the news to come out again so people know what is happening.
In London, some people marched to the Pakistani embassy to show they care about families back home.
Over 50 UK MPs, led by Imran Hussain, wrote to the Foreign Secretary about escalating violence in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Reports of live fire, at least 30 deaths, and a communications blackout have prompted calls for immediate de-escalation and independent investigations.
Demonstrations in London, including a march to the Pakistani High Commission, highlighted British Kashmiris' concerns for relatives in PoK.
MPs urged the UK government to use diplomatic channels and pressure Pakistan to end the blockade and violence.
The All‑Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir demands urgent talks and representation at the highest level to uphold UN commitments.
