Reliance, Rolls-Royce Partner to Build Indigenous Combat Engine for India

Two very big companies, Reliance from India and Rolls-Royce from the United Kingdom, decided to work together.

They want to build a special engine for fighter jets, which are fast airplanes used by the military.

This engine is meant for India's new fighter plane called the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft.

Making the engine in India means India will not have to depend on other countries for such important technology.

The leader of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wants India to become self-reliant, which is called "Atmanirbhar Viksit Bharat."

Rolls-Royce knows a lot about making aircraft engines.

Reliance has technology, manufacturing skills, and the ability to build things at a large scale.

Together, they want to create a whole system in India for making aircraft engines.

Their goal is to make India strong and competitive in this technology around the world.
