HDFC Life Shares Rise on Upgrade

HDFC Life Shares Rise on Upgrade

HDFC Life Insurance Company's shares went up by 0.88% to ₹756.50 on Monday.

This happened because a company called Macquarie changed its rating to 'Outperform' and set a higher target price.

HDFC Life had good growth in the money it gets from customers, especially in December.

However, it didn't grow as much as some of its competitors.

The whole life insurance industry in India did really well in December, with a big increase in new business premiums.

HDFC Life's stock has gone up by 24.68% in the past year.

On the other hand, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance reported a 19.82% year-on-year jump in its net profit to ₹390.20 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal year.

This was due to higher investment income from shareholders’ funds.

The company also saw a 18.96% year-on-year increase in its Value of New Business (VNB).

However, its net premium income fell by 3.69% year-on-year.

The company's shares ended the day at ₹682.20, up 0.35% from the previous close.
