UK Hunger Strike: Families Urge Government Action
Some people in the UK who support Palestine are very upset and not eating because they are in jail.
They want the government to let them out and stop treating their group as bad.
Their families are worried because some of them have not eaten for a very long time and are getting very sick.
The government says it is watching the situation but has not done anything yet.
These people were arrested for doing things to show they support Palestine, and a lot of other people have been arrested for supporting the same group.
The families are asking the government to help before it is too late.
Eight pro-Palestinian activists are on hunger strike in the UK, with one hospitalized after 46 days.
Activists demand immediate bail, an end to the ban on Palestine Action, and uncensored communication.
Four activists were jailed for alleged involvement in a break-in at an Israeli-linked defence firm, and four for breaching a military air base.
Palestine Action was banned in July and designated a terrorist organisation, with thousands arrested for supporting it.
The government is monitoring the strikers' wellbeing but has not directly intervened.
