Teachers Seek Old Jobs After Supreme Court Ruling, New Tests Set

Some teachers in government schools lost their jobs because of a court order.

The court said teachers who had other government jobs before could apply to get those jobs back.

About 2,000 teachers applied.

They are hoping to go back to the jobs they had before they started teaching in the secondary and higher secondary schools.

The education department is checking their applications.

The teachers need to take new tests in September.

If they fail, they won't be able to teach in the secondary and higher secondary schools starting next year.
