Woman Dies in Lift Accident
A 45-year-old woman named Laxmi died in a very sad accident.
She was visiting her daughter in a building in Bandlaguda, Rajendranagar.
While she was coming back from the penthouse with clothes, she thought the elevator had arrived.
She opened the lift door and stepped forward, but the elevator was not there.
She fell into the empty lift pit and died from her injuries.
Her husband and a neighbor were with her, and they were very shocked.
The police are looking into what happened.
A 45-year-old woman named Laxmi died after falling into a lift pit from the fourth floor of a residential building in Bandlaguda, Rajendranagar.
The incident occurred around 10 am on Monday when she was returning from the penthouse with clothes, accompanied by her husband and a neighbor.
She opened the lift door while talking on the phone, assuming the elevator had arrived, but it was on the ground floor, causing her to fall into the pit.
Her husband, a retired SCCL employee, raised an alarm, and neighbors alerted the police, who retrieved the body from the pit.
The woman died on the spot due to severe head injuries, and her body was taken to the Osmania mortuary for post-mortem examination.
