KKR Owners Plan Minority Stake Sale
The owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders, a popular cricket team in India, are thinking about selling a small part of their team.
They have asked a company called Nomura to help them with this.
The sale is expected to happen in early 2026.
The team was bought for $75 million in 2008 and is now very valuable.
The owners are not saying exactly how much they want to sell or for how much, but they are not selling a big part of the team like some other teams are doing.
The team's famous co-owner, Shah Rukh Khan's company, owns more than half of the team, and the other owners own the rest.
No one from the team or the owners has said anything about this yet.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) owners are planning a minority stake sale.
Nomura has been appointed as the sell-side advisor for the transaction.
The sale is expected to launch in January-February 2026.
Only a minority stake will be offered by the Mehta Group.
KKR was originally acquired for approximately $75 million in 2008.
