Indore Begins Ganesh Idol Immersion Before Grand Procession

People in Indore are saying goodbye to Lord Ganesha during Ganeshotsav.

Some families have already immersed their small idols.

They are using artificial ponds made by the city.

These ponds are intended to help protect rivers and save water.

Larger Ganesh idols will be carried in decorated processions.

An aarti will be held at the Khajrana Ganesh temple before the processions begin.

The processions will travel through several major roads and markets.

Traffic rules will change from 3 p.m.

on September 25 until the celebrations finish.
