Vedanta Resources Aims for Investment Grade Rating by FY27
Imagine a company, Vedanta Resources, wants to be seen as very trustworthy by lenders.
They want to get a better credit rating, like a good grade in school.
To do this, they plan to pay off some of their debt, reducing it from $5 billion to $3 billion by 2027.
They already have a B+ rating, but they are aiming for a higher grade, which will make it easier for them to borrow money at lower interest rates.
This means they will have to pay less money back.
They are also refinancing a $550 million loan, hoping to save money on interest payments.
Investors want to know that a company is safe, and a good credit rating shows the company is doing well and can pay its debts.

The company plans to reduce its total debt to $3 billion by FY27.
VRL currently has a credit rating of B+.
VRL is refinancing a $550 million private credit facility due in August 2026.
