Delhi Assembly vs. Punjab Police
The Delhi Assembly has sent official notices to three top Punjab Police officers.
They are being asked to explain why they registered a police case against Delhi's Law Minister, Kapil Mishra.
The case is about a video clip from the Assembly that was shared by Mishra and other politicians.
The Punjab Police say the video was edited, but the Delhi Assembly says the video is their property and using it this way is wrong.
The Assembly wants the Punjab Police to provide all documents and a forensic report to prove their claims.
The Assembly is also upset because they feel the Punjab Police are interfering in their matters.
The Assembly Speaker has warned that strict action will be taken if anyone is found guilty of misusing the Assembly's property or hurting its dignity.
Additionally, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) held protests demanding that AAP leader Atishi be booked and her Delhi Assembly membership cancelled for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Guru Tegh Bahadur.
Atishi has accused the BJP of indulging in petty politics by dragging the name of the ninth Sikh guru.
Meanwhile, BJP Punjab chief Sunil Jakhar has demanded a forensic probe of a video circulating on social media that allegedly shows a person resembling Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
CM Mann has called the video tampering a conspiracy and defended the Punjab Police's action.
Delhi Assembly issued notices to Punjab’s DGP, Special DGP (cyber crime), and Jalandhar Police Commissioner for alleged breach of privileges.
Notices demand replies within 48 hours regarding the FIR against Delhi Law Minister Kapil Mishra for circulating an 'edited and doctored' video.
