BMW Expands MINI Brand in India
BMW, the German car company, wants to make its MINI cars more popular in India.
They plan to bring new MINI models next year and sell them in more cities, not just big ones like Mumbai or Delhi.
Right now, they sell MINIs in nine cities, but they want to double that number.
Many people who buy MINIs already own a BMW.
The company is also planning fun events for MINI owners.
They think they can sell even more MINIs next year, growing by at least 10%.
BMW plans to expand the MINI portfolio in India with new models in 2026.
The company aims to double its sales network presence from 9 to 18 cities, including smaller towns like Jaipur, Lucknow, and Ranchi.
40% of MINI customers in India are existing BMW owners.
BMW targets double-digit growth in MINI sales for 2026, building on a post-Covid growth rate of 15%.
The luxury car segment in India has been growing at around 10% pre-GST, with BMW achieving 13-14% growth.
