Kerala HC Modifies Sabarimala Pilgrim Cap Based on Inflow
The Kerala High Court said that the number of people who can visit Sabarimala temple each day can be changed a little bit if there are not too many people coming.
They said this should be done by the people in charge of the temple, and they should make sure not too many people are there at once.
The temple board gave information about how many people can be there safely, and the court said the number of people should be changed based on how many people are actually coming to visit the temple.
The court will look at this again in December.
Kerala High Court allowed minor changes to the 5,000-pilgrim cap at Sabarimala based on actual inflow of devotees.
Court directed that the capacity must remain within the safe green-zone limits.
Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) submitted details of relevant zones' areas and green-zone capacities.
Executive Officer, Chief Coordinator, and Special Commissioner can decide on cap modifications.
Next hearing scheduled for December 3.
