Indian Diaspora Celebrates 80th Independence Day in Kenya, Bahrain, France
India recently celebrated being an independent country for 80 years.
Indian people living in other countries joined the birthday celebrations.
In Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, more than 1,200 people gathered at India House.
Everyone sang a special song called Vande Mataram, which is 150 years old.
There was also an exhibition telling the story of the song and how it helped India win freedom.
In Bahrain, more than 1,000 community members celebrated at the Indian Embassy.
A movement called 'Har Ghar Tiranga' is asking every home to fly the Indian flag.
In France, the flag is travelling around the world in a relay called Surya Path Tiranga.
People danced and sang, and winners of a quiz about India got prizes.
More than 1,200 members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India celebrated India's 80th Independence Day at India House in Nairobi, Kenya.
High Commissioner Adarsh Swaika unfurled the Tiranga and read the President's address to the nation at the Nairobi celebrations.
The event marked 150 years of Vande Mataram with mass singing of the National Song and an exhibition on its history and legacy.
Over 1,000 Indian community members joined celebrations in Bahrain, where Ambassador Vinod K. Jacob hoisted the Tricolour and read President Droupadi Murmu's message.
In France, Ambassador Sanjeev Singla hoisted the national flag as part of the Surya Path Tiranga global relay, alongside cultural performances and quiz awards.
