2025's Major Events: From Terror Attacks to GST Reforms
In 2025, India faced many important events.
There was a big gathering called Maha Kumbh where many people came, but sadly, some were hurt in a stampede.
There was also a scary attack by terrorists in Pahalgam, which made India very upset.
India then did something called Operation Sindoor to fight back.
The government also made changes to taxes, making them simpler.
They also fought against bad people called Naxals.
There was a bomb blast near the Red Fort, which was very sad.
And at the end of the year, many flights were cancelled because of some rules.
It was a year with many ups and downs.
Maha Kumbh 2025 saw over 660 million devotees but was marred by a stampede on January 29.
The Pahalgam terror attack killed 26 people, mostly Hindu tourists, leading to India's Operation Sindoor.
Operation Sindoor involved destroying terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, escalating into a four-day conflict.
GST reforms simplified tax slabs to 5% and 18%, with a new 40% slab for luxury and sin goods.
Intensified Naxal crackdown resulted in the neutralization of key Maoist commanders.
