Champawat Hospital Adds Blood Component Unit for Emergency Care

Champawat Hospital Adds Blood Component Unit for Emergency Care

Champawat District Hospital now has a new unit that can separate donated blood into useful components.

This can help doctors treat patients who need urgent or specialised care.

The unit cost about ₹50 lakh to establish.

It is the first facility of its kind in Champawat.

Patients may no longer need to travel to other districts for these services.

The hospital has also received a new 50-bed critical care block.

Other projects include diagnostic facilities, operation theatres, roads, parking and drainage systems.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the projects are meant to improve Champawat’s future healthcare and infrastructure.
