Delhi Civic Body Targets 50,000 New School Admissions

Delhi’s civic body wants 50,000 more children to join its schools in one month.

Teachers will visit families every Saturday to explain why children should enroll.

Parents, community groups and NGOs will also help with the campaign.

The campaign is called the “School Chalo Abhiyan.”

Teachers who bring in 75 new students may receive a teaching award.

Officials will check schools for problems with classrooms, toilets, drinking water and electricity.

They will also address shortages of cleaners and security guards.

The goal is to improve enrollment and provide better facilities and opportunities for students.
