Odisha Launches Mobile Centre for Migrant Workers
Odisha has started a traveling center to help people who might have to move away for work.
This center will go to areas where people are likely to move, to teach them about the dangers of moving away for work when they don't want to.
The government is working with international groups to make this happen and have set up a free phone number where people can call for help.
The main goal is to help people find jobs where they already live and support them with challenges related to moving for work.
Odisha launched its first Mobile Migrant Resource Centre.
The initiative aims to raise awareness regarding distress migration in select districts.
It is a joint collaboration between the Odisha government, FAO, IOM, and the UN MMTF.
A toll-free helpline (1800-345-7885) is available for migrants.
The center will support potential migrants and help find solutions to migration challenges.
