Hyderabad Speeds Up School Construction and Kits
The Deputy Chief Minister of Hyderabad, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, had a meeting to talk about building new schools called Young India Integrated Residential Schools (YIIRS).
He said there will be enough money for the construction and that the bills for the workers will be paid every 15 days.
He told the people in charge of the districts to visit the construction sites at least once a month to make sure everything is going well.
He also said that if the workers don't start building within 15 days of signing the agreement, they will be in trouble.
There will be special people checking the quality of the work, and the Chief Secretary will get reports every week to see how things are going.
Additionally, the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had a meeting about making sure the student kits for government schools are of good quality.
These kits have things like uniforms, shoes, and notebooks.
He said the kits should be given to students right after the summer vacation and that there should be no delay or compromise on quality.
He also asked for a report on any pending bills for schools and hostels to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Funds will not be a constraint for the construction of YIIRS, with bill payments to contractors cleared every 15 days.
District collectors directed to visit construction sites at least once a month for on-site reviews.
Clear calendar for project completion to be prepared, with weekly reviews and monthly physical inspections.
Strict action to be taken against contractors who fail to commence work within 15 days of signing agreements.
Third-party agency appointed for continuous quality monitoring, with regular site visits by quality inspection teams.
