Landslide Briefly Blocks Marsyangdi River Amid Nepal Monsoon Rains

Heavy rain caused a large landslide in Nepal’s Manang District.

The falling earth pushed debris into the Marsyangdi River.

The river was blocked for a few hours.

It later cleared and returned to normal.

Officials said there was no major damage from this blockage.

People living downstream were told to be careful.

Other rivers in Nepal were also briefly blocked by landslides.

More than 20 people have died in recent rain-related events, including five people in Palpa and one man in Baglung.
