Maharashtra Cyber Registers 803 FIRs Under Operation 1930 Against Fraud

Cyber criminals trick people into giving away their money using fake calls, messages, and websites.

Police in Maharashtra started a big program called Operation 1930 to stop these bad guys.

They looked for bank accounts that criminals use to hide stolen money, called 'money mule' accounts.

They also found fake SIM cards and other tricks used by fraudsters.

The police registered 803 cases against people who help run this crime network.

A special phone number, 1930, helps people who have been tricked by these scammers.

Police say the number gets about 8,000 to 10,000 calls every single day.

Because police acted quickly, they saved about 514 crore rupees and returned some money to victims.

The goal is to make it much harder for cyber criminals to steal people's hard-earned money.
