Trump reshapes US historical and cultural institutions

President Trump has been making big changes to places that tell the history and culture of the United States.

He signed an order to remove what he calls 'anti-American' ideas from museums like the Smithsonian.

This includes taking down exhibits about slavery and putting back statues of Confederate leaders.

Some people, like the NAACP, say this is wrong because it erases important parts of history.

Trump also renamed the Kennedy Center to include his name, which upset many people.

He has also withdrawn the U.S. from some international groups.

These changes have caused a lot of debate about how history should be told.
