Delhi records highest road accident deaths in 7 years
In 2025, Delhi saw the highest number of people dying in road accidents in seven years.
More than 1,600 people lost their lives, which is a big increase from the year before.
There were also more accidents where people got hurt badly.
However, there were fewer accidents where no one got hurt.
This shows that the accidents are becoming more serious, even though the total number of accidents didn't go up much.

Fatal accidents increased by 4.92% from 2024 to 2025.
Total road accidents rose marginally by 0.57% from 5,657 in 2024 to 5,689 in 2025.
The number of injured people increased by 1.7% from 5,224 in 2024 to 5,314 in 2025.
