Kolkata Records Seventh Organ Donation in 2025
A young man named Puskar, who was in an accident, sadly passed away.
His family made a very kind decision to donate his organs to help others.
Doctors were able to use his liver and two kidneys to save the lives of three people who were very sick.
This was the seventh time organs have been donated in the state this year, and it follows another donation from a 12-year-old who passed away earlier in the month.
These donations help many people by giving them a second chance at life.
A 23-year-old man's organs were donated after he was declared brain-dead.
The liver and two kidneys were transplanted into three patients in Kolkata.
The donation is the seventh deceased donation in Bengal in 2025.
The donor, Puskar Pal, was the family's sole earner, working as a welder.
Doctors found no matching heart recipient, so the heart was shared with NOTTO.
