Adivasi Filmmaker Wins National Film Award

Ravi Raj Murmu is a filmmaker from Jharkhand who grew up listening to Santhali folktales.

He made a short film called 'Angen' about a flute player who gets lost in the spirit world.

The film won a big award called the National Film Award.

This is a big deal because it's the first Santhali-language film to win this award.

Ravi wants to tell stories about Adivasi life and how their connection to nature is changing.

He had to make a short film first because he couldn't find money to make a longer one.

The film shows how places change quickly and how important it is to tell these stories before they disappear.
