Sholay's Delayed Pakistan Release Fails to Impress
Sholay, a famous Indian movie, was released in Pakistan much later than everywhere else.
Even though many Pakistanis had already seen it, the movie didn't do well in theaters there.
This was because the audience had changed and also, because the movie had already been available for years.
The person who brought the movie to Pakistan said the timing wasn't right and the excitement was gone.
Also, the director wasn't happy about it being in 3D.
Sholay, a classic film, was released in Pakistani cinemas in 2025, decades after its initial release.
The film, promoted as a major event, did not perform well at the Pakistani box office.
The film earned just over Rs 3 crore during its four-week run in Pakistan.
A Pakistani exhibitor cited the film's delayed release and changing audience as reasons for its poor performance.
Director Ramesh Sippy was not happy with the 3D conversion of Sholay.
