Three Arrested Over Alleged SSKM OPD Ticket Racket

Police arrested three men accused of cheating patients at SSKM Hospital.

The men allegedly promised to obtain outpatient tickets without making people wait in long lines.

Police said they gave patients tickets that had been forged to look real.

The accused allegedly charged much more than the official ticket price.

The investigation began after a complaint from hospital official Pijush Kumar Roy.

Police examined CCTV footage from the hospital and nearby areas.

The three men were identified as Asad or Ashad Ali, Mohammad Shahid or Sahid, and Vahid or Vihid Ahmed, with spellings differing between reports.

Police are investigating how the tickets were made and whether other people were involved.

A court sent the men to police custody until September 28.
