TMC MLA's Family Faces ED in Recruitment Scam Probe
Madan Mitra, a Trinamool Congress MLA, and his family members have been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kolkata.
The ED is investigating allegations that Madan Mitra was involved in a recruitment scam where individuals were hired in exchange for bribes.
The ED has conducted searches at Mitra’s residence and office and is scrutinizing financial records.
Madan Mitra has assured full cooperation with the ED.
His sons, Swarup Mitra and Shubharup Mitra, have already appeared before the ED for questioning.
Additionally, Subhashis Chakraborty, the treasurer of the Trinamool Congress, has also been summoned regarding party funds.
