Pakistan's State Firm Discovers Oil, Gas Reserve in Sindh
A state-owned company in Pakistan found a new source of oil and gas.
They found this by digging a very deep hole called a well in Sindh province.
This well is now producing gas and a liquid called condensate.
This is good news because it means Pakistan can use more of its own resources for energy.
The company has found similar energy sources recently, so experts think there's more to find.
They are excited because this helps Pakistan become more self-sufficient with energy.
Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL) discovered a new oil and gas reserve in Sindh province.
The discovery was made at the Faakir-1 wildcat well in Kharo.
The well tested at 6.4 million cubic feet per day of gas and 55 barrels per day of condensate.
The OGDCL has made at least two significant discoveries since last year.
