NSEL Traders Approve One-Time Settlement Plan
Imagine a big marketplace called NSEL where people traded things.
Years ago, there was a problem and some traders didn't get all their money back.
Now, over 90% of the traders have agreed to a plan where they'll get some of their money back.
This plan involves a one-time settlement of about ₹1,950 crore, which will be split between over 5,600 traders.
The settlement should bring closure to legal issues and give the rights of the traders to 63 moons.
The voting was ordered by a special court and overseen by appointed officials, aiming to resolve a crisis that began back in 2013.
