Trump Names India, China, Others in Drug Transit List
President Trump has named 23 countries as places where a lot of illegal drugs come from or are made.
This list was sent to the Congress.
This means these countries might be helping to bring dangerous drugs to America.
The government says these countries are threatening the safety of Americans because of this.
Some of these countries did not do enough to stop the drugs from coming in, according to the US.
This list does not necessarily mean that these countries' governments are not trying to stop drug trafficking, or that they aren't cooperating with the US.
President Trump identified 23 countries as major drug transit or illicit drug-producing nations.
The 'Presidential Determination' was submitted to Congress.
India, China, and Pakistan are included in the list of named countries.
The State Department clarified the listing doesn't reflect a country's counter-drug efforts.
