Independence Day box office clash: Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947
Many new movies are coming to theaters on August 14.
Two big Bollywood movies will be playing at the same time, like two teams competing to see who more people will watch.
One movie, called Awarapan 2, is a sequel to a romantic drama from 2007 and stars Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani.
The other, Batwara 1947, tells a story about a family moving during a very important time in history called the Partition of India.
Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta are in Batwara 1947.
Suriya stars in another film called Vishwanath & Sons about a retired shooting champion.
There is also a movie with dinosaurs called The End Of Oak Street, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, where a whole street gets moved to a strange land.
A few more movies are also releasing, like Magudam and Agadha.
It is a very busy week for people who love going to the cinema.
Bollywood films Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 are set to clash at the box office over the Independence Day weekend.
Batwara 1947 stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol and Ali Fazal, and is based on Asghar Wajahat's play about a Muslim family relocating during the 1947 Partition.
Awarapan 2 features Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, along with Shabana Azmi and Puran Gabbi, and is directed by Nitin Kakkar.
Other releases on August 14 include Vishwanath & Sons starring Suriya, The End Of Oak Street with Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, Magudam, Panchali Panchabhartruka and Agadha.
The End Of Oak Street is a sci-fi survival film about a family teleported by a cosmic event into a prehistoric landscape with dinosaurs.
