India & WHO Partner to Advance Traditional Medicine Globally
The Ministry of Ayush and the World Health Organization (WHO) are working together to recognize traditional Indian medicine worldwide.
They've agreed to create a special section in the WHO's health intervention system, similar to a global medical guide.
This means treatments like Ayurveda and Yoga will be officially acknowledged, making it easier for doctors and insurance companies to use them.
It's a move to make traditional Indian medicine a bigger part of global healthcare, supported by science and international standards.
The Prime Minister also spoke about this important step.
The Ministry of Ayush and WHO signed an agreement.
The agreement will create a Traditional Medicine module within ICHI.
The module will include practices like Ayurveda and Yoga.
This will help Ayush reach a global audience in a scientific manner.
The collaboration will support global access to Ayush interventions.
