PM Modi to lay foundation for Kaziranga Elevated Corridor in 2026
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kaziranga National Park in January 2026 to lay the foundation stone for a big project called the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor.
This project will help animals like elephants and deer cross a busy highway safely.
The corridor will be built over the highway and will allow animals to move freely underneath.
The project will also improve the road and create jobs for people.
Some people are worried that building this corridor might harm the animals and their habitats.
The government says it will protect wildlife while making travel easier for people.

The 34.45 km elevated corridor is part of a Rs 6,957 crore project approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.
The corridor will pass over nine critical animal corridors along National Highway-37, now NH-715, to reduce human-animal conflict.
The project includes four-laning of the Kaliabor-Numaligarh stretch and construction of greenfield bypasses at Jakhalabandha and Bokakhat.
