Patna Water Metro to Launch Soon, Following Kochi's Model
Patna is getting a Water Metro, like Kochi!
This is a new way to travel that uses electric boats to help people move around the city and visit different places.
The government wants to make it easier to travel and also encourage people to visit Patna.
The new metro will have stations with good facilities and be much cleaner than cars or buses.
It's also good for the environment because the boats run on electricity.
The idea is to connect many places along the river, which is expected to boost the local economy and make tourism even better!
Patna is set to launch a Water Metro service, inspired by Kochi's model.
The project is part of the Centre's Ganga Mobility Plan, aiming for eco-friendly transport and tourism.
It will begin with two terminals and 16 community jetties, easing traffic and reducing pollution.
The initiative supports National Waterway 1 and the local economy by creating jobs.
The Kochi Water Metro, launched in 2023, connects islands via electric ferries.
