Indian, US Armies Conduct Joint Artillery Drills at Mahajan Range

Indian and United States Army soldiers are training together in Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026.

They held artillery firing practice at the Mahajan Field Firing Range.

The soldiers used several weapons, including the M777, Dhanush and Pinaka systems.

They also practised with L70 air-defence guns and M-LIDS systems.

Teams first learned how to find and identify targets.

They then practised sending firing instructions and correcting shots.

The training helps both armies understand how the other works.

It is meant to improve teamwork and readiness for combined operations.

The exercise began on September 15 and is the 22nd India-US joint military exercise.
