Apple's Strong Holiday Quarter Driven by iPhone 17
Apple had a very successful holiday season, making a lot of money from selling iPhones, especially the new iPhone 17.
The company's total revenue was $143.8 billion, which is a lot more than people expected.
This success was helped by strong sales in China and growth in Apple's services.
However, some of Apple's other products, like Macs and wearables, didn't do as well.
Despite this, the company is doing well overall and has become the top smartphone seller in the world.
Investors are still waiting to see if this growth can continue in the future.
Apple's revenue jumped 16% to $143.8 billion in the holiday quarter, driven by strong iPhone 17 sales and growth in services.
iPhone revenue totaled $85.3 billion, a 23% increase from the previous year, with higher-end models being particularly popular.
Services revenue grew 14% to $30 billion, while Mac and wearables revenue declined by 6.7% and 2.2% respectively.
Apple reported a 38% increase in revenue from China, reaching $25.5 billion, and regained its position as the top smartphone seller globally.
Investors are cautiously optimistic about Apple's growth, with shares rising about 1% following the announcement.
