Revanth Reddy Seeks Faster Development of Telangana Airports

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy wants two airport projects to move faster.

The projects are at Adilabad and Mamunur near Warangal.

Telangana has finished acquiring and handing over the land needed for Mamunur airport.

The Union civil aviation minister said tenders for the work would be invited within two weeks.

The tenders are expected to be finalised by December, when the foundation stone may also be laid.

Reddy wants Adilabad airport to have passenger and cargo terminals.

He also requested facilities for repairing and maintaining aircraft there.

He asked the Centre to support helicopter tourism in Telangana.

Officials will also study whether seaplanes can land at Hussainsagar in Hyderabad.
