College principal booked for sexually harassing 17-year-old student in Palghar

A teenage girl told the police that the principal of her college behaved badly toward her in a very serious way.

She said he called her to his office often and made rude comments about how she looked.

She also said he took her picture without asking and touched her in a way that made her uncomfortable.

He wanted her to go with him to a late-night birthday party and to stay at a hotel with him.

When she did not want to, he said he would tell bad things about her to her family.

This went on for more than six months.

The girl studies at the college and also works there part-time to help pay for her own education.

Finally, she went to the police, and a case was registered on Monday.

The police will investigate the principal under special laws that protect children, including the POCSO Act.
